Jesus Juan Moreno Jr., a combat veteran of OIF II (Operation Iraqi Freedom II), has actively engaged in Texas politics, bringing a wealth of experience from his political organizing efforts and military service. Serving as the Regional Political Director for Southwest Texas with the Texas Democratic Party, Moreno has been pivotal in shaping and implementing political strategies that have reinforced the party's influence in the region. His effective voter engagement and grassroots support during his time as a Field Organizer for the campaigns of Gina Ortiz Jones for Congress and Pete Gallego for State Senate, SD19, demonstrate his skill in political mobilization.

As a 9th-generation Tejano, Moreno's advocacy for progressive values is deeply rooted in his heritage, promoting social justice, equity, and inclusive growth. Moreno, A native son of Cotulla Texas where President Lyndon Baines Johnson began his career teaching discriminated and disenfranchised Mexican American children, his early mentors were Chicano civil rights activists of La Raza Unida Party where he was surrounded with a rich wealth of knowledge of civil and voting rights history that helped shape and build his passion for equity and giving everyone a fair shot in life. His disciplined leadership style, honed through his combat leadership experience, is also a product of his service as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves. Beyond his political work, Moreno's commitment to community activism is evident in his efforts to improve Texans' lives and support marginalized communities' rights.

Recognized within the Texas Democratic Party and by his peers, Moreno's dedication as a leader and organizer is well-regarded and continues to impact the political landscape of Texas. His work extends to various community organizations where he mentors young activists, advocating for policies that address economic disparities, healthcare access, and veterans' issues.

Moreno's tenure with the Texas Democratic Party has seen him successfully navigate complex political environments, build coalitions, and spearhead initiatives that resonate with a diverse electorate. His ability to connect with voters on a personal level and inspire collective action has been instrumental in driving electoral victories and advancing progressive causes in Texas.
