Angel Carroll
At-Large Board Member
Angel has dedicated the past decade to advocating across various platforms, including testifying before the Texas Supreme Court, which led to the establishment of the Texas Judicial Commission on Mental Health, where she has served on the Collaborative Council since its inception. She also designed an award-winning alternative to incarceration program for 17-24-year-olds in Williamson and Dallas Counties. Currently, Angel is the Director of Advocacy at Measure, a research and data activism organization focused on leveraging lived experiences and data to drive equitable change. She also owns a consulting group that collaborates with nonprofits and government agencies to implement best practices for engaging with vulnerable populations in the child welfare and carceral systems.
In addition to her professional roles, Angel serves as the Vice President for Black Austin Democrats and the Williamson County Young Democrats. She has volunteered on several boards across the state, including the Alumni Board at the LBJ Women's Campaign School, Texas Tech Alumni Association, SAFE Alliance, The Boys and Girls Club of Georgetown and Eastern Williamson County, and the Lioness Justice Impacted Women’s Alliance.
