Texas Stonewall Democrats
Election Information
Texas Stonewall Democrats hold a biennial membership meeting during the Texas Democratic Party Convention to elect officers, hear reports, and handle any other business that comes before the group. All properly credentialed attendees at the convention meeting are eligible to vote, while members attending other meetings must have current dues paid in order to vote. Proxy voting is not allowed. The Caucus leadership consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and one At-Large Officer, all of whom carry out responsibilities outlined in the bylaws. Nominations and elections for these positions take place during the biennial meeting, and any Caucus member may run and be elected by a majority vote. To comply with representation requirements, the Vice President must be of the opposite gender of the elected President, as both will serve as the Caucus’ add-on members to the State Democratic Executive Committee.
